Holocaust Education
Virtual Reality allows us to present the Holocaust in a way that books cannot. Instead of reading about the people and places of the holocaust, students are able to tour Auschwitz through a virtual tour, and hear direct testimonies from the people that survived.

Curated and Appropriate Content
The Holocaust is a subject to be covered with great care. Students should be taught what happened in a way that is respectful to the victims and survivors. Our programming has been approved by a top professional Holocaust educator, and we rely on material from sources such as the USC Shoah Foundation. Our presentation is immersive and appropriate for an audience of 6th grade and up. As of December 2024, Historical Reality has presented to over 2,500 students throughout Kentucky.
What Historical Reality provides
Historical Reality provides all of the necessary equipment for a classroom presentation, free of charge. We outfit classes with VR headsets, headphones, and post presentation worksheets to enrich the experience. We curate content from the best sources, and integrate it with our program. We also provide the platform for viewing the VR material. Students have grown up in a digital world. Virtual Reality is a great way to draw students in, and engage them in the material.
Why should students participate in our program?
The true value that our VR presentation has for students is to make the material personal. Instead of just reading the statistics of the Holocaust, students see the sites in 360 degrees, giving them a better understanding of what happened. They also see and hear the testimonies from survivors, almost as if it is in person. Our mission is to provide students with an experience that stays with them long after the lesson.
